$55,000 Grant Announcement for TVIH
Association of Community Services (ACS) Executive Director, Lois Mikkila is so happy to announce that we have launched the second component of HoCo Excel, the non-profit EXCELerator program, with the selection of the organizations that will be participating in the "Capacity Building Cohort."
The five non-profits awarded:
The Village in Howard
Chinese American Parent Association
Equipment Connections for Children
Mediation and Conflict Resolution Center
Ohana
As members of the cohort, they will be working with the EXCELerator Program Manager, our amazing Kim Patton, to develop individualized action plans, receive one-on-one coaching, participate in group learning, and receive grant funding.
This is a 3-year pilot project, which we hope will truly be a catalyst to grow their capacity, impact, and sustainability. And we hope that they will be the first of many cohorts to come!!
A special thanks to our partners at the Department of Community Resources and Services and Howard County Community Foundation for making this program possible.
Staff and board members celebrated on August 22, 2024 the launch of the cohort group.
