As part of the annual Columbia Festival for the Arts, the Program Committee has selected 2 documentary films in the Film Festival which will be shown consecutively that TVIH members can view together. The American South depicts the racial tensions of the Jim Crow era and R.A.W. Tuba is the story of a homeless Baltimore teen who thru his tuba music rises to a PhD. and symphony performances. These 2 films are part of a “3 film package” called “Social Justice and Equality.” You can also see the first film in the series for the package price. Optional dinner and discussion at Leelynn's restaurant (9495 Old Annapolis Rd., 21042 in Dorsey Hall) immediately after the films.
Fee: $10. Obtain tickets online for the 3-film package. While you can attend all 3 films; TVIH members are joining together for the second and third films. Go to Columbia Festival of the Arts website www.columbiafestival.org , click on Film Festival, click on Buy Tickets (description of movies will then appear in June 28 Social Justice & Equality), select # of tickets and follow to $10. payment. When you print out tickets, you will get separate ticket pages for each of the 3 films.
