It’s a special event as three TVIH travelers describe their adventures to India:  Christine Lobo, Joy Cheung and Sarah Spence.
Christine will lead off the presentations and give a brief on India’s ancient history and the transition to today dynamics.  She will also discuss India’s geography, demography, settlements, the spice trade, and growing up in the country.

Joy will show photos from her trekking trip in the Indian Garhwal Himalayas in 2000. She went with a research group lead by a geology professor from University of California Davis. The 11 day trekking along the Goriganga river valley to  the Milam Glacier (13,000 ft) started from Munsiyari (6,600 ft).

This will be followed by Sarah who will describe hi-lights and a video from her 2014 Overseas Adventure Travel trip, “Heart of India.”  The video included the Taj Mahal, New Delhi, a number of Hindu temples, including Varanasi (a holy place dating from 4000 years ago) and many other places that have shaped India’s magnificent history.

5:30 - 6:30 Potluck Dinner.  Coffee, tea, water paper plates and plastic utensils will be provided.  Please bring a dish that will serve 6.
