A traditional Japanese haiku is a three-line poem with seventeen syllables, written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. Often focusing on images from nature, haiku emphasizes simplicity, intensity, and directness of expression. You are invited to join this session and construct your own haiku to read or to listen to others read theirs. You may also bring haiku written by others. Susan is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
