A monthly virtual meeting for TVIH members to ask tech questions, share information, and learn together by studying free tech lessons available on the internet. No prior experience is required. Everyone is welcome to join this meeting.

Do you have questions about the TVIH website, the apps on your smartphone, making a digital recipe file on your computer, or a good scanner to buy for scanning old family photos? Come to ask your questions and share what you know with other TVIH members. If we don’t know the answers, we will look up in Google search.

In 2019, more than half of older adults bought a new tech product, whether it be a smartphone, laptop, or smart home device. The internet enables seniors to connect with loved ones or stay informed on current news and research. Searching for yummy recipes, watching videos, making telemedicine calls, paying bills, and social networking are all common reasons seniors choose to hop on the World Wide Web.

Once seniors are connected to the internet, getting online becomes part of their daily routine. Roughly 75 percent of older adults with an internet connection report that they use it daily.

In the new program, “Keep with technology”, our goal is to learn technology together by asking IT questions and sharing what we know with other members.

For the first session on Thursday 1/13 at 10 am, our members have submitted the following questions.

Please register to join us if you have the same questions or you know the answers to some of the questions.

  1. How do people use their DEVICES
  2. Explain the options and features with MAPS
  3. How to transfer multiple PHOTOS in emails?
  4. Basic questions about SIRI commands
  5. DICTATION and VOICE OVER
  6. How to save PDF files?
