Fruit Wines: Refreshing Summertime Wines

Remember the wine cakes Kathy made when we served food with the wines during our Teach & Tastes? Those cakes were always made with fruit wines. This Teach & Taste will look at several fruit wines. Terry’s Uncle Hun used to make fruit wines. It was said in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania that, “When you drink Hun’s fruit wines get up very slowly.” Terry’s uncle told us that if a food had a seed in it, you can make a wine out of it. These wines will be very fruity with good acid, perfect for the warm/hot weather that will be coming our way. Kathy will make a fruit wine cake for this Teach & Taste.

Due to rising wine costs, fee for tasting is $25.00

Weather permitting, this event will be held outdoors at the Sullivans’ home.
