50/50 RAFFLE DRAWING - SAT. MAY 4th - TVIH OFFICE Purchase Tickets
Session I
This is a live event!
In the 16th century, Spanish ships began to bring Spanish grape varieties to Argentina. Later in the 19th century, the country saw an influx of noble grapes. During these early centuries, Argentina winemakers believed in a quantity over quality philosophy. Now, the quality of Argentina wine has met international standards along with international trade. Argentina has several wine regions and many wines that are sold internationally
This Teach & Taste will sample six Argentinian wines. We’ll begin tasting a sparkling wine to help cleanse our palettes. We will then sample a white wine made from the Torrontés grape. For the red wines we will sample a Bonarda, and a Tempranillo. The most famous wine grape in Argentina is Malbec. Our tasting will conclude with a Malbec/Cabernet Sauvignon blend and then a Reserve Malbec. Due to rising wine prices, fee for tasting will be $25.00
Weather permitting, this event will be held outdoors at the Sullivans’ home.
