Thursday Talk and Walk, Guilford Pratt Steel Truss Bridge, 1PM
About this event
Thursday Talk and Walk is a social gathering to a different place every Thursday
to introduce members to interesting places in Howard County and to create a
social vehicle to get to know each other better. We may go for coffee afterwards.
It is open to all and no registration is required. If the outdoor temperature is below
40 degrees or it is raining/snowing, we will meet in the Mall in Columbia on the
second level near Macy’s.
Thursday Talk and Walk for January 22 is at 1:00 at the Guilford Pratt Steel Truss Bridge on Guilford Road. This bridge is part of the Patuxent Branch bike and walking trail, which we will take for a while.
After crossing Route 32 on Broken Land Parkway or the Broken Land Exit (South) from Route 332 go to Guilford Road and turn left. After about half a mile a road down to Old Guilford Road will emerge before you pass under Route 32 (Away from the shopping center and the High School. If you wish to take Burger Road and Gerwig Road off Snowden River Parkway, Gerwig Road becomes Guilford Road as it passes under Route 32 and the bridge is just a few hundred yards on the left.
You can get close by setting your GPS to 9280 Guilford Road, but you still have to get down to Old Guilford Road.
