Special Instructions: Meet at the Village Center Parking Lot (6061 Stevens Forest Road, Columbia, 21045) at 9:45 AM to form carpools, sign trip waiver and pay $5 museum discounted admission. Depart for Museum at 10:00 AM, arriving at museum by 10:45 AM. Docent tour at 11:00 AM and continue museum visit until 12:30. Walk to nearby Chiapparelli’s for lunch. Individuals pay for own lunch. Back in Columbia by 3:30 PM.

The Jewish Museum of Maryland is hosting this very special exhibit “Jewish Refugees and Shanghai,” containing 52 panels detailing the extraordinary history of an unexpected community. Weaving together the first-person experiences of more than two dozen individuals who lived in the Shanghai Jewish ghetto, this exhibit details the extraordinary history of an unexpected community. Docent led tour followed by lunch at the nearby Chiapparelli’s Restaurant in Little Italy.

Directions: Take I-95 N to Exit 53, West Conway Street to Light Street, Right on West Pratt, Left on Lloyd (1 1/2 blocks to Museum), Parking lot is across the street from the museum.
Lunch Location: Chiapparelli's Restaurant, 237 High Street, Baltimore, MD 21202 (410-837-0309). On Sundays, dinner menu only is served all day; however, pizza and pasta dishes are included on the menu.
The restaurant is a short walk from the museum (6 blocks): South on Lloyd Street, Right on Allen Alley, Left on S. Exeter Street, Right on Fawn Street, Right on High Street.
