Lynn Foehrkolb BOD profile

Lynn Foehrkolb - President

Lynn has been a dedicated Board Officer since December 2023. A Registered Nurse with experience in Recovery Room and Surgery Center Administration, Lynn brings strong leadership, healthcare expertise, and organizational experience to the Board. Lynn is active in her community with voter awareness, advocates the importance of physical activities and staying socially connected.  She has served on the Volunteer Service Committee since 2019 and as Newsletter Editor since 2023. Lynn's focus is on fostering community engagement to improve the quality of life for all people.


Mark Toohey - Vice Chair

Mark brings professional experience in Information Technology through his work with T. Rowe Price. He is actively involved in fostering connection and engagement within the community by leading and supporting a variety of social and recreational programs, including Men’s Pod, Sneakers & Coffee, Talk & Walk, Arts & Crafts, Lunch Bunch, and Happy Hours.


Lisa Geerman - Treasurer

Lisa brings extensive financial expertise through her work as a Certified Public Accountant with Howard County Government. She is actively involved in community engagement and social programming, supporting activities such as Harper’s Choice Pod, Mah Jongg, and Happy Hour gatherings that help foster connection and involvement among members.


Fran Dummett - Secretary

Fran has been a dedicated Board Officer since December 2020. With a professional background as an HCPSS School Counselor, ASPO/Lamaze Childbirth Educator, Midlife Transition Facilitator, and Social Security Summer Aide Counselor, Fran brings a diverse range of experience in education, wellness, and community support. She also serves as Director of Public Affairs, Communications Chair, Newsletter Co-Chair, and Meditation/Tai Chi Coordinator, while actively organizing and hosting a variety of TVIH programs and events.


Kristin Grogan - Member at Large

Kristin has served as member at large on the TVIH Board since 2023. With a 20+ year professional background as a Project Manager in Telecommunications, Kristin brings strong organizational, technical, and communications expertise to the Board. She actively supports the organization on the Communications Committee, IT and Website support, and Newsletter Editor, helping enhance member engagement and communication initiatives.


Michael Gray - Member at Large

Michael  brings extensive professional experience in naval ship design and testing, systems analysis, and IT proposal writing for government agencies including the National Security Agency and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. He is an active participant in TVIH programs and community engagement efforts, contributing as a Travel Talk speaker, still and video photographer, walker, and dedicated board participant.


Robbyn Harris - Member at Large

Robbyn offers extensive leadership and community involvement experience through her work as a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty Centre. She has also served as President and Treasurer of the Howard County Association of Realtors and as a Board member of the Maryland REALTORS, contributing to Finance, Professional Standards, and Grievance Committees. Robbyn is committed to expanding and diversifying the membership community, fostering engaging mission-driven programs and social events, and strengthening fundraising initiatives to support the organization’s long-term sustainability.


Victoria Hathaway - Member at Large

Victoria brings extensive leadership, communications, and community engagement experience to the Village. Her professional background includes executive leadership, education, and communications. Victoria has served in leadership and advisory positions with multiple senior serving organizations, including the Howard County Commission on Aging and Johns Hopkins Medical Center Foundation Board. An accomplished writer, educator, and advocate with experience in outreach, program coordination, and community relations. Victoria is passionate about fostering inclusive, connected communities and supporting programs that enhance quality of life with an emphasis on older adults.


Maria Van Buren - Member at Large

As an attorney who spent nearly 30 years working for the U.S. government, Maria offers extensive legal, leadership, and project management skills. After retiring from the government where she enforced laws related to fair wages and occupational safety and health, Maria transitioned to an elder law practice where she helps individuals and families navigate issues related to disability and aging. She looks forward to engaging in advocacy to promote issues important to the TVIH membership and helping TVIH to grow and prosper as an important and vital part of our local community.


Gerry Preziotti - Member at Large

Gerry has 40+ years of experience as an engineer, project manager, and program manager working for a local not-for-profit university affiliated research center (UARC) in areas including communications systems, systems engineering, and cybersecurity. He has developed proposals and contracts and led projects for multiple Department of Defense organizations, as well as NASA, the FAA, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Gerry spent the last several years helping to care for his late wife and has an interest in helping others faced with addressing dementia affecting their loved ones. He is an active participant in TVIH programs and community engagement efforts and looks forward to supporting TVIH as a board member.

Shawn Crosby - Executive Director

Shawn has 20 years of experience advancing mission-driven organizations in education, culture, and community well-being. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Shawn has led initiatives that raised and managed millions in philanthropic support, built strategic partnerships, and launched impactful programs and fundraising infrastructures. Shawn held senior leadership roles with organizations including the Washington Conservatory of Music, The Army Historical Foundation, ACCEL Schools, and The Legacy School. Shawn studied at Morehouse College and completed advanced coursework through Harvard University and Columbia University.


Rosa Gray - Office Manager

Rosa brings more than 20 years of experience in office management, customer service, business development, and administrative leadership to the village. As Office Manager for TVIH, she plays a key role in supporting daily operations, member services, communications, event coordination, and serves as our "gem of ambassador" to our village. Rosa’s professional background includes leadership and administrative roles in customer relations, with expertise in operations management, project coordination, and client support. Known for her strong organizational and interpersonal skills, she is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and connected community for TVIH members and volunteers.

Mary McGraw
Founder of TVIH

In 2012, with the idea of a creating a non-profit group to support our Howard County aging population, Mary McGraw begin to explore The Village concept. 

By 2013, a county meeting to identify what is needed in our community.  With the formation of a steering committee, so began the seed of an active aging in place non-profit called; The Village in Howard.

The Steering Committee: Dayna Brown, Joy Cheung, Philip Dopkowski, Pamela Johnson, Phyllis Madachy, James 
Madachy, Nancy McCord, Judy Pittman, Duane St. Clair, Virginia Thomas.
