About this event
This class will get you started right and show you what Facebook does that has the world’s interest, including keeping up with The Village in Howard’s page. An introduction to many uses of Facebook for anyone who has used it little or not at all.
Facebook is a convenient way to share family photos. You can read both witty and touching narratives that you can forward to your own circle of friends. It is a messaging service, a way to reestablish contact with a distant friend, a way to keep up with groups you belong to or want to. It will be as time-consuming and get as political as you want.
Before class, you should
* Prepare to bring a phone, tablet or laptop to practice Facebook and on it:
Install the Facebook app on it (you will set up your account in class)
Have a photo of yourself or (for privacy) one that represents you
Have another photo that you would like to share
Have an email account or phone number you are prepared to share with Facebook
* Have in mind a friend who uses Facebook that you are going to connect with on it.
