This Teach & Taste will present some of the wonderful wines coming from areas close to Eastern Europe’s Danube River. As the Danube meanders through several countries, vineyards have been planted near the river. We will concentrate on Hungary and Austria, their unique grapes and popular wines. Wines such as Bull’s Blood and Tokaj, along with names difficult to pronounce and spell will pair with food items that enrich the tasting.

There are many wonderful wines from Eastern Europe. Since they are not as familiar in the United States, you will discover some of these wonderful wines. We will also explore “What’s so romantic about these wines and the Danube?  This Teach & Taste will follow our new format. We will have two identical sessions. The sessions are smaller allowing us to sit at a table and have the wine glasses on the table. Appetizers will pair with the wines.
