About this event
Mah Jongg is a tile based game which was developed in China some two thousand years ago and has spread throughout the world.
In 1937 a number of JM enthusiasts met in NYC to standardize the game so all MJ player would play by the same hands and rules. American Mah Jongg uses tiles and a playing card. The object of the game is to be the first player to complete one of the hands in the National Mah Jongg League Official playing card.
This is a four-week class for beginners. Classes will start Friday, March 1, 10 am - 12pm, and continue for four Fridays in March. Please register for each class on the TVIH website. We will be limited to 8 new players.
This class is free --you will not need to bring anything.
