Travel Club/Potluck (How to Prepare for Your Planetary Vacations)
Some of you know Gary Battel as a meteorologist as well as a National Park Ranger (a dark ranger when he discusses the nighttime sky). During his tenure at these positions, he frequently got asked, “What should we bring when vacationing on Mercury, Jupiter, the moon and other planets?” This presentation will describe the opportunities for future travel in our solar system, the kind of weather you will experience and how best to prepare for this vacation of a lifetime.
